My blog finally took off today after much procrastination, thanks to Penelope Trunk's article on networking with people which stirred my my new year's resolution to blog regularly. Several things happened since the dawn of year 2007. Fist, I took GMAT test on Jan 2nd and did pretty well. I wasn't expecting a score of more than 700 but to my astonishment I scored 730, so I would say I had a good start this year. Secondly, my uphill battle with Wharton's application process for admission to May 2007 EMBA program. It was a quite a learning experience after more than a decade parting from school, writing essays, preparing resume, getting recommendation letters, etc. I was finally able to submit my application by the deadline after endeavoring with it for almost a month. Third, my vacation trip to India this time around was quite a different experience. I was working on my essays in the initial part of my vacation to meet the application deadline. No one knew what the heck I was doing except Geetha. In fact my father in-law asked me if I was working on something related to work. Overall, things went ok this year until yesterday, when India lost the cricket match to the Lankan's. I am still waiting to hear from Wharton on my admission to EMBA program.
